Fili continui
Giulia Iacolutti
The book Fili Continui recounts the project of the same name, conceived by artist Giulia Iacolutti and produced by the Etrarte cultural association, in which dance, silk, and lace intertwine in a work that reinterprets tradition as a collective practice to combat gender violence.
Developed over the course of a year, the project involved approximately forty women between Gorizia (IT) and Nova Gorica (SI): from women victims of violence assisted by the S.O.S. Rosa center in Gorizia, to the teachers of the Gorizia Lace School, to the dancers of the Santa Gorizia Folklore Group, featured in a performance realised for GO! 2025 European Capital of Culture.
The volume traces the various phases of the project through a photographic sequence, finding in the transparency of the paper a formal element that establishes the continuity between knowledge, bodies, and experiences. The images are accompanied by critical essays by curators Rachele D’Osualdo and Cecilia Canziani, psychotherapist Lucia Beltramini, and architect Antônio Frederico Lasalvia, who place the work within a contemporary perspective and a European context.
